So, how long will these two stay apart? Andrew Marlowe has built up the tension between them to a fever pitch. I feel like they are a good season or so ahead of Bones when it comes to really bringing their romantic leads to the point of no return. I know Marlowe has said they will be moving forward this season in a significant way…he’s also said they won’t be together as soon as ‘shippers would like…but I think they could be together by season’s end, perhaps a bit sooner. He has said he would love to explore their relationship as a couple and see where that road would take them. I know Stana Katic is 100% on board with getting them together even though Nathan Fillion is on the “keep them apart for as long as possible” team.

I try not to compare Castle with Bones, but I can’t help it. I’m really excited that Brennan and Booth are finally together and starting a family, don’t get me wrong. I can’t help but be bummed that we didn’t get to see their first real date, their first real kiss as a couple. Hart Hanson keeps saying that stuff doesn’t matter but it really does! Considering the heat Castle & Beckett generate, I’m really looking forward to seeing them go for it with each other…go on a first date, share a first real couple’s kiss, have their first night together. I really think Marlowe is taking them down that road a lot sooner than 6 full seasons into the series. Whatever the case, I’m crazy excited about tonight’s premiere and can’t wait to see how the “I love you” business is dealt with. PS I think Beckett heard him. Call me crazy, but I feel like she had a slight smile on her face as she slipped into unconsciousness post-gunshot. I think she’ll remember it, too. Fingers crossed!!!

I’m glad Idina Menzel is coming back. I like her and I hope she brings some good drama and storylines with her. I also hope there is NO STUNT CASTING this season. I loved Gwyneth Paltrow as Holly Holiday and Kristin Chenoweth as April Rhodes but the writers need to have them serve an actual purpose when they pop up in episodes. Also, they really need to focus more on having actual plot lines driving the episodes as opposed to building episodes around songs/artists. As much as I love the music of Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and Fleetwood Mac I feel like all of those episodes were pretty lame and non-sensical.

Overall, I was really disappointed with Glee’s second season. It really lost some of its luster for me. Most episodes became little more than background noise for me last year as I did something else, to be honest. I feel like there was very little significant character development last season. The best thing that came out of last season was Santana’s acceptance and understanding of herself. I hope to see more of that this season because I really do like her character. I also liked when Brittany got to show she actually does have a brain and isn’t a complete idiot. Don’t get me wrong, I love the dumb stuff that comes out of her mouth and her vacant stare but it’s also nice to know there’s a person in there somewhere.

I hope Quinn’s storyline is better than it was last year. I like Dianna Agron and I think Murphy & Co need to give her something better to work with than what we got last season. Remember when she and Mercedes got really close at the end of Season 1? What happened to that friendship? I don’t think they even spoke to each other this season or acknowledged the fact that Mercedes once took Quinn in after her parents threw her out and she broke up with Finn. That was a major fail on Murphy & Co’s part.

Despite the overall lameness of last season, I do still love Glee and am excited it will be back pretty soon for a (hopefully) successful 3rd season.
