glee: hello, awesome song spoilers!
It’s been a while since solid Glee news has come our way, but as the cast and crew starts filming the back nine of season one, the info is slowly but surely picking up. After the jump, find out some songs the club will be singing when we see them again–including some from the Madonna episode!
Okay, so the songs in the Madonna episode are as follows:
A “Borderline”/”Open Your Heart” mash-up
“Burning Up”
“4 Minutes”
“Crazy For You”
“Like A Virgin” (Sung by Finn, Rachel, Jonathan Groff’s character, Santana (!), and … Will and Emma)
“Like A Prayer”
“What It Feels Like For A Girl”
“Vogue”
“Express Yourself”
And some of the songs in the episode prior, called “Hello,” include:
“Highway to Hell” (Sung by Vocal Adrenaline)
“Hello, Goodbye”
“Hello” (Sung by Rachel and Jonathan Groff’s character)
“Hello 12, Hello 13, Hello Love” (Sung by Rachel and Jonathan Groff’s character)
I’m a little disappointed they’re not doing “Material Girl,” but everything else I politely requested months ago is on the set list. I even specified that Emma should get in on the “Like a Virgin” action, and it appears that she will. I love any opportunity Jayma Mays gets to sing, and I’m still kinda bummed that her “I Could’ve Danced All Night” never ended up on the iTunes. Still, I’ll take this, especially if she does any kind of harmonizing with Mr. Shoe.
As for the songs in “Hello,” I’m sufficiently amused at the theme. (This is the first episode back from break, airing April 13.) ”Hello 12, Hello 13, Hello Love” is a song from “A Chorus Line,” and the only thing that bums me out is that, for a couple of reasons, it’s not going to feature my friend Shaina singing, “Tits! When am I gonna grow tits?” as she did in a production of the number my sophomore year of college, the memory of which still makes me laugh out loud.
Lea Michele has promised that the numbers in the back nine are bigger and better than the season’s first half, which is hard to imagine but still has me looking forward to the spring.
