glee: sectionals looming — what’s happening with will and emma?

The press release for the fall finale of Glee was just released, and it got me thinking about how things will end up next week for Will, Emma, Terri, and Ken.

This is all purely speculation–no spoilers beyond the press release:

Sectionals is finally here for the Glee Club, but when Quinn’s secret unravels, the club may not be able to recover in time to compete. Meanwhile, Sue’s scheming hits an all-time high, and with Emma and Ken’s marriage looming, Will makes a decision that could change his life forever.

Quinn’s secret is unraveling around her–now she wants to keep the baby, and that’s surely going to throw a wrench into Terri’s plans to pass off Baby Drizzle as her own.  It would make sense for Terri’s lie to come out in the fall finale–but I don’t necessarily expect to see Will suggest divorce right off the bat.  Instead, I wonder…

You ever heard the phrase, “What happens at Sectionals, stays at Sectionals?”

Me neither, but imagine this–Emma helps chaperone the kids at Sectionals–they’ve got the big van and everything, right?  And Will’s been putting aside his home issues because he’s got to get the kids through their performance, until Emma starts talking about the wedding, blah blah blah.  Will’s broken down, he’s in a bad place, and he’s on the verge of breaking up with his wife.  The “decision that could change his life forever” could be as simple as a backstage kiss with Emma–or an ambiguous makeout session at her hotel room door.  (Probably not very likely–just putting that out there.)

They’re going to pull out the stops for this episode, and I imagine there’ll be a bit of a cliffhanger.  With the way the Quinn/Terri baby storyline is turning out, it sure seems like that’s what’s headed for cliffhanger territory–and I’d love to see it hinge on Will and Emma.
