bones goes back in time! [but how?]

fine, i was just looking for an excuse to use this picture // fox promotional photo
TV Guide Magazine today quoted Stephen Nathan as saying that, this spring, Bones will be doing a thirties-style episode:
A lot of shows have done those 40’s film noir episodes, but what we’re thinking of doing is going back a few more years to a 1930’s era homage to Depression-Era comedies like (1936′s) “My Man Godfrey” (starring William Powell and Carole Lombard) or (1934′s) “The Thin Man” (starring Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles), where they’re living the high life in the midst of the Depression – drinking and having a good time while solving murders.
What I’d like to know is … how? The article says the episode will be shot in black and white, but will this be an AU episode? Is it “What would have happened if Booth and Brennan were solving crimes during the Depression?” (For starters, no Angelatron.) Or will it just be chock-full of homage shots, like silly sped-up screwball scenes? I, for one, think it’d be pretty useless to do this without putting them in period costumes.
Anyway, here’s a clip from my personal favorite ’30′s screwball comedy, Bringing Up Baby. It’s relevant because … Oh, whatever, just watch it.
Two words: X-Files. Triangle.
